Lovely photos! I love Mull both in a car and on a motorbike....there is so much variety. Are yours taken on the coast road up past Ulva?
You are brave driving with just the aeroscreens......plenty of midges in your teeth?

Thanks, Yes that is the road from Salen to Dervaig near the Ulva Ferry. No midges or rain all week, honestly....used aeroscreens most of the time, including some of the way back to Essex, not as spartan as it appears, even my hat stayed on.
Mull is a 'must' in a Morgan, absolutely unforgettable, john k

I love Mull been many times in 1988 I went with my wife and nephew . I was in a sheiling next to the ferry .Decided to take him fishing on going over to the west side of the island at the top of the island ( not the Iona road ) a young girl in a car with her parents came round a corner fast . It left me to jump over her , go under her or turn left and plunge over the cliff . She had a green on her side so I dropped a gear and rambed her over to the green , if not she would have pushed us over the cliff . Her father got out and squealed at me , after taking a look and seeing my young nephew was ok I went to see if the girl and her mother was ok . I could hardly get a word in for her father still screaming , are you two lady's ok nothing hurt or damaged , scream scream . You shut up now I am talking to your wife and daughter to see if they are well I told him to shut it several times he refused so I told him to ? OFF . He got the hint . Returned to the mog my nephew was ok scoffing my sweet's . About an hour later along came the police did you contact us , yes via a passer by . Who is that other chap shouting he is trying to tell us our job . Sorry lad's had cross word's with him an hour ago . I asked was there a garage to look at the mog . One near the ferry . My spinner had torn through their fiesta's body work and dinted my off side wing . The chap in the garage just looked at it . I asked can I use your phone to contact my insurance company ( no mobile's then ) , yes but it will cost you , Ok on phone a few mins how much do I owe you £20/- + vat ( in 1988 )for a phone call , how much , give me a reciept they are never going to believe that at the insurance company . I can fix your car sorry I dont own an oil well and off we went . The funny side was I said to the Nephew dont tell your dad he will go bonkers at me Oh cant I tell him . ok say you had a little bump , Oh cant I call it a giant crash a little bump in not exciting , Kid's !!!!
Another time I was up I went over to Ulva and a old man was standing in tear's on the Mull side at the tiny 1 man ferry boat he was born on Ulva and had returned to walk on the ground he had played on as a child and to think of his parents and grand parents his root's . The man with the ferry had had a bad day was going early and refused to take this elderly man over to Ulva he had travelled from London and would never see or walk on it again and was in tears sobbing . I could not live with that and started by asking the ferry man to change his mind he was not willing to go but I was not willing to back off and would have still been there . I told him if you go I will take your boat and take the man over I am not leaving till that gentleman goes over after a long hard argument at me telling him he should be ashamed treating an elderly fellow Scot like that refusing a man his last wish I started to break him down and get to his heart . He said OK thats it I will go home late . I saw the old mans face light up and that was enough for me to be happy . We watched them move off in the boat and reach Ulva and the old man get out onto his home soil . I felt good about my bloody awkward self and felt that was one fight worth winning I was in the right place at the right time with my wife and the mog .
