Graham, What are those big fogs/spots on the 'B'?
Difficult to see from the photo angle but are they something like Marchals or Cibie Super/Drive Oscars
regards, G

Hi Gerwain (bet I've spelled that wrongly!).
They are Hella driving lamps. I think they were from the Rallye 2000 range, but it's rather a long time ago!! The small fogs under-bumper were cheapies, Raydyot or Lucas. Took them off my 88" SIIa.
Cheers,

Graham, I never thought of Hellas- although on second thoughts I should have 'cos they're too slim to be Cibies. Got found memories of Hella lamps- when we were road rallying the Cooper 'S', in the early days our nav-ing wasn't always the best and after being penalised a couple of times for entering controls from the wrong direction we rigged up a Hella spot as a a reversing lamp so that we could have a second go without being found out. Needless to say, it wasn't dependent on the car being in reverse gear! regards, Gerwyn

LOL
I like that idea!
In my years of doing TCs on road rallies I never had anyone arrive from the wrong direction. The last time we did recovery for LeJoG we managed to arrive at two controls WD. I don't think anyone was left out there! We certainly had no phone calls from control to say someone was missing...
Yup, Hellas were the only thing of decent size slim enough to fit without making up extension brackets to keep the lamps off the front of the bonnet.
Cheers, Graham

Yes Frank, sometimes it is good to stand back and take a look over a bit of history. Before I bought the B I came quite close to buying a JPS (black) colour scheme Lotus Europa twin cam on an M suffix.
Cheers & HNY!
