Description
Thanks kevfitz, socket arrived this afternoon. I’m delighted with it and the badge.

Took all the nuts off just to see, I had them far too tight, had to use the bashing spanner to start them. Now I’ll be able to easily check before each journey.

Couldn’t resist polishing it too, I can see my face it it now. that’s not necessarily a good thing. scared

My car doesn’t have a tool tray but I do still carry the flat spanner under the shelf carpet, it’s the only tool in the car, I figure there will always be something to hit it with within walking distance, should I need it. The downside was always, it’s too much hassle to get the spanner out to check the nuts, easier to just risk it ‘till the wheels fall off.

I think this is the one (or similar).

Chap called Lionel makes them for a range of cars.I got one for my Aero8 and posted about it a while back.....

update; just found Lionel's details from an old post here -

Talked to Lionel Roberts, sent him the original wheel tool and...magic: a perfect tool with 38mm socket on which I use an extending ratchet/breaker bar. His prices are very reasonable ; not sure what his final price for these will be but expect around same as spinners. He is able to machine to fit 2/3-eared spinners/octagonals as well and up for a challenge on anything else -
