Description
Here it is my current Z06. Imported from texas with a salvage title and rebuilt. RWD, V8, manual with enough technology to put that power to the ground and not enough to let yourself dance with the devil. One hell of a machine that will probably dissapear in the history books.

That engine and those lines are true gems.

Fantastic car with amazing performance, even if 3 seconds of full throttle can lead to jail time and 9 seconds to a breaking news speech from the PM denouncing the horrible crime committed.

Top speed around 300kph, never had the balls to go over the mythical number on public roads. Pushed it once over 280kph then I attained what the Buddhists call satori.

What a fabulous car!!
Also for me, one of the greatest sounds that I’ve heard in motorsport, are the Corvettes at the Le Mans 24 Hour.
notworthy

My late brother owned a C4 Targa top.

It was just the lower power version with 387(?) bhp, but it was a manual (very rare in the US Market) so his two sons couldn't drive it !

His widow was very keen that I brought it back to UK , and after having driven it for a 50 mile round trip on the back roads of Indiana, I must admit that I was sorely tempted and even went through some of the initial steps enquiring about import regulations, and talking to the largest UK dealer.

The speed of even this model was pretty impressive , but it is a very big car , much larger than the Morgan, and required a lot of room on the road. The electronics were impressive in holding the tail slides in check when I used too much throttle in lower gears. I think the gearbox was very strongly loaded to go from 1st to 6th if I remember correctly.

The only real obstacle is that my garage has room for my +8 , and buying the Corvette would have meant one car had to stand outside , not good in SE London.
