Aston Martin EV battery cars by 2019

So looks like aston martin have an electric drive train available to customers 2019 and its an 800v system as opposed to Tesla at 400V

Perhaps Morgan could go into partnership with Aston?

A significant step forward on @astonmartin road to zero emission capability. This is the first production intent battery for the RapidE, Aston’s first EV. The significance is it’s also an 800v system, likely to be an industry first when launched to 155 lucky customers at end 2019

I fear for Tesla as all maunfacturers are racing ahead with electric platforms. Tesla have a head start but they will lose out if they cannot reduce voulume production costs.

I think Tesla's main problem is that Elon Musk seems unable to prevent himself behaving like a total and utter tw*t these days.

We have to accept "form follows function" - but I have seen better designed Aston Martins in the past.

Bob won't be chasing after one of these that's for sure …..

It does look more like a train though than an Aston.

Safety aside, higher voltage is the way to go - lower ohmic (i2r) losses as result of lower current.
