Dunnottar Moonrise

Been out practising with the camera again. Luckily there's still no sign of small red cars getting in the way of the lens! laugh camera laugh

Fabulous doesn't do it justice Callum.

Brilliant shots.

Are you shooting long exposures to get the moon exposed correctly?

These three were taken at 0.25, 0.5 and 0.8 seconds, the light was changing fast so it was all a bit of a rush before the moon disappeared completely into the clouds. The tripod I used is fairly unsubtle to be able to use the long lens for the closer in shots.

Very nice. I know just how difficult it is to get moon photographs like that. To get the right exposure on the moon itself and still get a good exposure on the terrestrial subjects is not easy.
