Roads less travelled 2

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my last pics guys. Andy, maps were definitely part of the adventure...(-: Pleased you liked the pics Richard. Brian we explored all sorts of places off the beaten track as was our wont...(-: Will post another few pics from that time.

Yeah, I suspect the spit and polish brigade would cringe at the thought of the rough road to Coin... smile Though the GoMoG webmaster used to post pics of his travels, I remember one where the sand had blasted the glass on his headlights to a matt finish... but no doubt he polished the whole car back to pristine.... Me..? Not so much, but the old Mog seems to have survived rather well all things considered. though much of that was down to Kevin`s skill and care taken when he rebuilt it circa Y2K..

That's not dirt , that's patina.

Wasn't your car featured in one of the classic car mags George? It would take me a long time to find it , but I seem to remember they compared about 4 different +8s.

Thanks again guys for the kind comments, very much appreciated.

Fox Terrier it was a great adventure it was the second of three, the first being down to Le Mans in 2002 for the 24hrs, then touring a bit of Normandy. Second Spain and a tiny bit of Portugal, and the third down to billet in Sorrento for a few days to drive the Amalfi Coast and then creep back up home via the back roads in France... The old Mog took it in it`s stride... smile

Richard, pleased you found something of interest in the pics. The old thing is not without the occasional blemish in it`s make-up, but overall is still in great nick..I was not greatly impressed with the colour when I first clapped eyes on it but having painted a few cars myself, I knew a real quality job when I saw one... smile

Stefan, I am most pleased that you liked the pics. The colour is from the Jaguar cars colour range identified as "CABERNET" I am sure I have the paint code somewhere..

HB thanks for taking the time to comment when I thought about colour my vintage tendencies caused me to lean towards non-metallic thinking RAF blue, but after circa 16 years I am getting used to it.... smile

I have quite a few pics in my collection and am more than happy to share them here provided I cause no issues...?
