Bikes of Caramulo

There were quite a few bikes at the Motor Festival and this is just a tiny sample.

BSA...smokin'

Wondering why it's smokin'

Norton

Methanol burning, JAP engine outfit...3 litres of fuel per run up the hill! Absolutely barking in the best possible way and not just the exhaust note.

FANTASTIC stuff Calum, your great pics give a real feel for the event... Looks a tad drier and warmer than most events I attended on the IOM and elsewhere around Scotland while messing with m/cycles... smile Given the length of time many of those machines may be laid-up and not necessarily in the driest of storage conditions or perhaps even had the benefit of a recent engine strip, I would expect quite a bit of smoke and the occasional..err..drip of oil... laugh2

While the iconic Manx, and Gold Star, are recognised classics, I guess even those small SOHC Ducati`s have become recognised classics too these days... Boy did I have fun with them when at a time Ducati only ever seemed to make "small" cc engines... oldgit

Thanks for posting Calum.
