Very interesting pics and post as I've only just been reading on here about the Trad chassis not being designed for turbo powered engines. Sounds a great deal of fun and hopefully fairly fast ?

Your engine bay looks very nice indeed ! drive

I am always delighted when folk take time to respond to my pics, thanks guys.

The Turbo was not mine, I do not know who the owner was/is, but what a fantastic set-up with all the chrome work on the intercooler pipework, rocker cover and expansion tank etc.etc.etc. Looks to be a very well thought and executed design.

Sorry I do not know what engine it was though I had thought it to be a Ford unit at the time as the rocker cover had a similar shape to the CVH engine and thought I had seen a similar EFI script on a CVH engine XR 3 hot hatch...??

I drove a Propane Powered Turbo 4/4 4Seater many years ago. It had a Kent engine. Great performance, the Owner did not like the smell of propane. Smells like a Fork Truck said He.

Apologies if this is a repeat post, I suffer from brain fade on occasion...

Thanks for taking the time to reply re my pics, as ever greatly appreciated.

The Turbo Morgan was not mine, though looked to be a very well thought and attractive installation the owner was happy to fire it up and it sounded as sweet as it looked with all that chromework on the intercooler pipework the rocker cover, expansion tank etc, etc, etc,

I think it was a Ford CVH given the shape of the rocker cover and the EFI legend on the intake manifold which I am sure I have seen on a Ford XR3 i when they were a current model...?

I am not familiar with either I'm afraid, but I do recall that Chas Windridge use to offer a turbo conversion for the Rover engine (?)

Yep , XR3i engine , this was put in some Mogs during the 70's , the XR3i was a fast car , remember driving one , suspension on the car was rock hard so went round corners very well . So putting a turbo on , cricky and in a lightweight Mog it has to be a very fast car ! Let us know what its like to drive and the acceleration etc !
