Mogs at Knockhill Aug 2006

These are some pics from many I took at a Thompson & Potter track evening some years back. At least one trip into the kitty litter but not me, this time.. (-:)

Great photos George , I see the Russel Patterson Roadster, I think that was his first Morgan race car.

Andy, I am pleased you found some interest in the pics. I believe you are correct re Russel Paterson`s Morgan, did he win a championship with it back then..? I took a few pics on that evening, so may select another 10 and post a ver.2 of the event. I had hoped to try to improve on my photography "skills" at some events this year...sigh! gloomy

Nce photos George.
Yes, Russell did win the Morgan Championship. OSU is also Russell's +8 which he still owns (after a brief separation) and the future double Morgan Championship winner (Elliot) is walking away from the car wth his mother. I think that they are the only father and son who have each won the championship.

Thanks for sharing them!
Pic 3 - I know it was a non competitive event, but a flag marshal, sitting down with a furled flag?
(Sorry, just couldn't help but comment! laugh2 )

Thanks for posting, Luddite, keep ‘em coming.

It would break my heart to damage my Morgan, but those shot are tempting me to give it a go. I notice nobody is anywhere near the kerbs in those shots, do you know how well the measly 4/4 holds up with a bit of punishment, where are the weaknesses?

The kerbs used to be a lot higher and less friendly at Knockhill, I was quite surprised how smooth they were when I was last there with you in 2017. I wonder if your Caterham's drive shaft was just hanging by a bit of a thread, looking for somewhere to break.
