Suffolk in the sun

Some pictures from my exercise walk yesterday & guest who came to watch me eat breakfast this morning.
There are a lot of positives at the moment if you can focus on them.

Lovely pictures John, we have noticed the increase in birdsong, I suspect this has been masked by the background traffic and general building activities in the area though but it's a real positive. The lack of contrails is quite strange too.

On yet another grey overcast day here in the West of Scotland your images of the charming little bird and the route of your walk brought a bit of warmth via this old laptop... Thanks for posting John, much appreciated.

Richard,
the birdsong is very strong especially as you walk down to the Orwell. I haven't seen a contrail in days.
Whilst the sun shines like this even if it is cold it is a real pleasure to walk around.

Luddite, I am glad to share it. The chaffinches seem to like looking in to the house this year.

Great photos John.
Love the "guest". I forget where now, but they used to take food direct from the hand. Probably many places the same.

Yes he seems a cheeky chappy. I was hoping to build a bird box today. I have a lot old wood in the garage but it is the too narrow. I will find a way.

John , looking after the wildlife is now one of the priorities here especially now , Pheasants , partridges , smaller birds- finches , sparrows , robins , tits , ducks , blackbirds . haven't seen the local woodpecker around recently !

Lots of woodpeckers around here. We saw a Goldfinch today.

I sometimes think buying a nesting box was a mistake.
