Fancy dress wheels

I can’t find my grease gun so I’ve come in for some breakfast in the hope it’ll magically reappear.

Opinions please lads and lassies, I’ve purchased those spoked wheels from our fellow member to whom I’m very grateful, what colour do you think would look best?
It’s not that I don’t like my own wheels, just that I’ve always liked painted wires too, these popped up, they’re from1969 so the same age as me and they’re the right size.

Obviously, they’re not like new, but they’re far better than expected, the intention was to paint them Saxe blue, gloss black or silver, two seconds on the car and I think I like them the colour they are.

I think I’d paint the car to match the wheels, I love that Alfa colour

Great answer, I’m going to need a bigger paint brush then!

It’s a lovely colour indeed, Morgan did do the 80th anniversary model in that shade too at the time. I like them even more now you’ve told me that’s an Alfa colour.

It shouldn’t look good but it does, the car they were on was also blue but in the for sale advert the wheels looked a lot redder. I’m not sure of the correct word when describing colour, but they’re the same tone of red and my car’s tone of blue is of blue, if you know what I mean.
Still need to find the grease gun though before I can fit them all, I’ve had to wipe off all the original grease in case any grit from their travel here has contaminated the old stuff.

They do look very close in colour to the other 80th, somehow Rosso red wouldn't have gone so well.

I think they look pretty good in that colour .... try driving about with them for a bit and see if they look right when you first see the car walking back to it ... may prove to be one of those unexpected things that just works!
