It was a good day.... Lots of "interesting" cars, including an Austin Maxi... but I didn't see an Allegro!

There was a nice modernised HRD Vincent with side car though

I was impressed by the achievement of this Ridley Special raced at a time when there was great rivalry in the 750cc class between Austin and MG. Driven by owner Viscount Ridley it achieved 105 mph in 1931 although nearly killing him later that year!



Another pic of the Alvis engined, chain driven Frazer Nash given recent fame on the Secrets of the Transport Museum TV series. Taken before it did two tyre smoking runs up the test hill.
