Brake reaction bars
This weekend's small project on MOG414. Found this interesting article on: "GoMog BrakeReactionBars.webloc" and decided to build my own brake reaction bars. First I did a 'trial' (grey rod) run to get the right dimensions between assembly holes and then produced the 2 bars or should I say rods, from 3/4" steel tubes flattened and bent at the ends. A short piece of 2.5mm thick flat bar was hammered at each end before bending to shape.
Have not had to chance to do a trial run because the weather was lousy all weekend;((

Good result Reno It's not clear from your pictures if you fitted your BRB's under the kingpin bolt washer(s). Important they are though as in this pic, particularly if you have adjustable camber kingpins which require two special concave and convex washers immediately under kingpin bolt to allow alignment. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.wolfperformance.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/sb-instagram-feed-images/319007633_728052648736796_5035043071677637384_nfull.jpg) Don't like the GoMog drawing which appears to show a BRB attached to upper shock mount bracket and not directly.

Hi Richard, thanks for your input. My kingpins do not have the concave and convex washers installed. ( Maybe I should get a set?)
Re GoMog diagram, yes I did not follow that, for two reasons, first, as you mentioned it is not direct and secondly it will require modifying the mudguard (wing) bracket to keep the original alignment.

Reno, the special paired washers are only necessary if you have camber adjusters and are paired with rounded end kingpins to accomodate the needed movement. Still recommend the plain washer you have sits between BRB and kingpin bolt though, if it isn't already.

Correct, I do not have camber adjusters and I did put in a plain washer under kingpin bolt. Thanks
