Sod the rain
I've owned my first Morgan since late February, a car I've always wanted. Apart from a couple of days when it hasn't rained it's sat in the garage as I don't want to get it wet. However today there was a break in the showers and I just had to take it out for a drive.
Old enough to know better, young enough not to care.

There's something very cathartic about driving a Morgan in the wet, and seeing the water come out from under the front wings like a bow wave.

Lovely car ... hope you enjoyed your drive ... that photo has a real 'period' look ... like it was taken on a film camera.

My first day of Morgan ownership was extremely wet - pouring rain and huge puddles/lakes on the road. Great fun!

That is a super picture.
They don’t dissolve in the rain. They sometimes leak a little though.

While I too would prefer not to drive in the rain these days, in the past I have driven in rain, through deep puddles, occasionally on salted roads and in snow... All be it I have only covered circa under 30k miles in 20 years ownership in my mid 80`s +8, thus it has had time enough between trips to be dried out and cleaned but not not in an overly fussy way and it still looks pretty smart, and is kept in ready to go at the turn of a key.... when it is not on SORN.
I suspect there is a personal balance to be found in terms of enjoying our Morgan`s, where maintenance in both terms of cost and effort, or perhaps with ones idea of maintaining Morgan perfection, may be on one side of the scales, when on the other side just, enjoying driving may be somewhat of a priority, be that to cars and coffee, the pub, or touring Europe and perhaps beyond.... Lots of different ways to enjoy our Morgan`s...While we are in a position to do so..

If you have the hood down beware of puddles they can rise up & over the screen to dump on you. Hail is no fun either , otherwise it is fun to see other drivers very confused looks. At the right speed you stay dry.

Morgans are meant for driving in both dry and wet. Don't keep it locked away!

On several drives over the years, I’ve had as much rain on the inside of the screen as the outside, you need a towel and ideally a passenger to do the needful. Now and then you’ll get the added excitement of temperamental wipers, they’ll alway work under test conditions, but they do like to occasionally throw a sulk and refuse to cooperate when you need them most,(it’s always the plug on the motor).
