A fantastic sunny weekend. We slipped away for a trip to the countryside south a Pavia. Great food and wine
Fortunago is a tiny village on a hilltop that was no doubt once fortified. It is considered one of the "Borghi pił Belli d'Italia" most beautiful villages in Italy. It is lovely but just a little too quiet for my liking. We went on to stay the night at a great "agriturismo". An "agriturismo" is a sort of farm restaurant and B&B. Usually reasonably priced and with excellent food, much from their own produce.
Because Fortunago has access only for resident's vehicles we had to leave the car in the small parking area while we explored on foot. Alis took this photograph of her, the signora, waiting for us.
