Description
A fantastic sunny weekend. We slipped away for a trip to the countryside south a Pavia. Great food and wine eat wine
Fortunago is a tiny village on a hilltop that was no doubt once fortified. It is considered one of the "Borghi più Belli d'Italia" most beautiful villages in Italy. It is lovely but just a little too quiet for my liking. We went on to stay the night at a great "agriturismo". An "agriturismo" is a sort of farm restaurant and B&B. Usually reasonably priced and with excellent food, much from their own produce.

Because Fortunago has access only for resident's vehicles we had to leave the car in the small parking area while we explored on foot. Alis took this photograph of her, the signora, waiting for us.

Beautiful, the weather was obviously better than we had in the North of the UK today.

Sounds like a lovely weekend. As DeanRoyal says - our weather here has been grim this past 48 hours. I really really hope it's better tomorrow.

Great shot down through the gap. Very rustic. smile

Just as one might imagine it to be, a great shot at the right time.
All the best
