Description
Great fun on the MAC Classic Rally yesterday. First one I've done and ably helped by my friend who had done Tulip rallies in the past ( passenger with Roger Clark and Tony Mason in the good old days!) so we didn't get lost. Some wonderful roads around the Welsh Borders with the hood down and only the odd spot of rain. Lots of interesting cars converging on Shelsley Walsh from various start points on the Midlands...everything from a 1932 Alvis Speed 20, plenty of MGAs and Healeys and several Mogs including a couple of Aero 8s. The day finished with a run up the hill climb course ...asked NOT to do it at speed!..... which was great fun. And who should be at the start taking photos but our very own Richard (Redmorgan)!

There should be a video on YouTube hopefully.....you'll hear me complaining about my handbrake...the cable snapped as I set off to the start line!

Looks good fun. Good engine sound as well.

What caused the cable to snap? Too many handbrake turns in the retail park?

Very nice pics and video. And you have had obviously great fun. Is it filmed with a GoPro (looks like)?

Hi Heinz.....yes, I used a GoPro Hero2 with their excellent suction mount. I'm still trying to set up a mount so that the camera is further back behind the cockpit (a roll bar would have been useful!) so I can get me and the passenger in shot.

Is that the yellow car that had a bit of an 'off'?
