Although it looks rough that building is actually an occupied house. The owner is taking a bit of a risk leaving it in that condition.

As it happens I have been considering spinners but only on aesthetic grounds. The spanner that lives under the bonnet (and I assume came with the car) has an arm that is barely longer than a spinner would be so, as you can chose where to position it, I'd say it had less chance of bodywork damage.

For the next few days I hope I don't find out!

That roof damage may have been caused by a high sided vehicle squeezing past something big coming the other way. The damage is limited to the bottom couple of rows and there's no guttering.

I'll bet Boshly had passed through there in his Rumble Bee pickup wink

Ian, a great photo that could be captioned 'a situation that rapidly got worse'.

Glad it turned out well and the fact you ended up having tea with the locals speaks volumes about how instant the Morgan creates rapport.

That's a good point it could well have been a passing lorry, the road is quite narrow there.

I'm used to strangers coming up and talking to me about my car but the effect is definitely magnified when you've broken down. Hardly a driver went past without an offer of help.
