Description
I am now a micro generator, so naturally it is raining! As I have a 25 feed in tarriff form HM Government it will probably rain for a while!

The photos show the progress of the panels on the roof.

The gap around the chimney is to avoid shadows.

You can also see how the clamps for the rails to support the panels are bolted onto the purlains.
So far so good. I will track the savings to see if it delivers the goods.

It was from a peat field behind the house. Also supplied air con in summer yet they still produced too much and sold it back to the grid - nice!

Don't know if this is relevant John? If correct, just like Government to alter the rules retroactively! frown

So far it only applies to future installations that are registered after 12 Dec.

No doubt they will shaft us lucky ones somehow in the future & bury the bad news just like thay did when labour killed DB pensions by taxing stock market returns on pension funds.

Today 14 days ahead of the first anniversary we hit 3064 kWh.
This was the amount the supplier quoted we would generate.
So I expect we will be around 5% ahead come year end.
As we planned this as pension income stream I am well happy with the result.

Major investment but long term gain. Had never considered the pension aspect. Interesting ...

Hi John,
Sounds like you are doing well with your installation.
I went live with my system at the Start of November last year and as it stands today I have generated 2064 Kwh.
We had our first payment a couple of weeks ago.
I have to say that, so far, I am pleased that I took the plunge.

I'm a big believer in putting my nest eggs in many different baskets and not just leaving my old age income in the hand of a bunch of dodgy shysters in pinstripe suits who appear to run the pension funds for their own personal gain. Between what they lose through their incompetence and the outrageously high fees they charge, there ain't much left for the poor old pensioners. (My apologies to any TMers who are dodgy shysters in pinstripe suits - but for years my father who has good pension cover from his work paid into a private pension for my ma........with equitable life. Well, you know the rest).
