Description
We have just returned from a fabulous ten day touring trip to and around The Dolomites.

The touring party cars all behaved themselves impeccably - my Aero 8, a Series 3 E Type and two oldish Porkers. I would add that the British motors caused considerable interest amongst our continental neighbours, where ever we went!

We travelled (and returned) via P&O from Hull to Rotterdam, drove to Dusseldorf station and caught the DB Autozug overnight to Innsbruck. Our small convoy then drove over the Brenner to our final destination - the most excellent Savoy Hotel in Selva Val Gardena. A hotel we have used many, many times over the years and cannot be recommended too highly. The owner Christoph Vinatzer and his family as always made us all very welcome.

The sound of the roar from my Aero 8 as we wound our way through the Passo Gardena will stay with me for a long, long time to come!

A few photo's from our fabulous trip.......

Hi,
It was a great trip to a fabulous part of the world. Please do use The Savoy, we have used it both summer and winter and have always been delighted, we are already booked for January!

We visited the outskirts of the park by ascending the Lagazoui cable car (hence the long distance photo of my Aero) on top of the Passo Falzarego.

The Falzarego is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and breathtaking valleys we've had the privilege to ski and walk in!

Hope you availed yourself of the delights of Rifugio Scotoni cheers whilst cycling the valley? If not do so next time!

We keep saying that we must make a trip over there. Most probably when we do it will be September which is outside the main Italian holiday season and less crowded and less costly.
