Gambalunga,
Thinking of mount these edge protectors.
Are they shaped for direct mounting or do I have to shape them myself?
A photo would be most appreciated.

HI Gambalunga I would also like to see a photo of the edge protectors as well if possible.
Is that the Librands Door checks, or have Borghi manufactured their own?. Yours look subtly different from the Librands ones.

How does the bonnet 'normally' stay up? I guess it doesn't!

Are they something an owner could fit himself?

Without the stays you can only have one side up at a time.
I would guess that a competent owner would be able to fit the stays themselves.
