A quote from Autocar..."If you're not too image conscious and are in the market for a well built and reliable 4x4,then the B9 tribeca is the answer..." thumbs

And deals available the last time I looked at the Subaru web site - not selling at all well.

The new Freelander is nice to drive but you pay dearly for the Land Rover badge.

While I like them, I do think you get more for your money from Subaru.

Hi Paul,
We've managed to squeeze 5 posts out of you in one day, phew. oops Seriously, we miss your late night, or often early morning quips. The only way for you trad-types to reduce the Aero and/or racing posts as a proportion is for you to post more, not to throw in the towel and not post. surrender Don't do a Camelman on us, though he does not seem to post on any of the more trad type DG's either. Maybe he is truly retired now. oldgit hide

Just thinking in type so please don't hold me responsible for anything. speakno wine

Cheers
Brian thumbs

Have probably said already, have never owned any car for 7 years before - only changed at 158k miles and 10 yrs because it was getting a bit tired. This one is newer with far less miles on the clock on purchase, and will hopefully be with me for even longer. Far more toys!

Cheap to buy for what it was, and an excellent 'working' car for gigs. A bit of all all round compromise, but gets a three piece band with all kit round the motorways, into (and out of) fields, then home again in comfort, reliably and with an acceptable MPG.

Met Robert last time he was over at an excellent local pub, with a wonderful troll round the lanes on his way back to Portsmouth - hope to meet up again next time he is over.

I suppose retirement must be quite a big change - especially moving country as well as finishing a job.

Will do, and suggest a larger meet up next time as well.

I agree. I find Paul's posts enjoyable and witty.
However, what I find is that most newbies(myself included), the initial enthusiastic posting tends to wane after awhile confused2 some after a couple hundred posts, others like myself would stop after about 1500posts....

Don't do it Kin, don't commit Hari-kin after 1500 posts. sos

There must be a way out, we'll get Simon to go organise things so that you go straight from 1499 posts to 1600 (missing the 1500's out completely); who will we rely on to be our Net hunter-down of those strange web sites, that we all enjoy so much, if you do something precipitate.

Promise that you won't do something precipitate on TM Kin. thumbs

Your friend Aeroman. cheers
