What is happening at Prescott this Sunday? Hi Rainbowj, this year Prescott has introduced its "Breakfast Club", where once a month on a Sunday, anyone especially with veteran, vintage and classic cars and motorcycles can turn up to enjoy a convivial breakfast and a meet up with like minded people. Sometimes there are specific marques turning up otherwise there is usually a good mix of motors to ogle and to chat to their owners. There is no charge for entry. 0900 to 1200.

Anything with a Morgan badge is good for me too but I really have a feeling that not not all Mog owners feel the same Graham. Maybe we should do a Landy meeting but I have a 110 county how does that hang with you being a 90 man Perhaps we could discuss it over a bacon butty As a former 127" owner Graham - I'm quite happy with any wheelbase LR Does a 127 trump a 110??? Bacon butties for sure

I am loathe to join my local group of mscc as I don't play golf and I tend to call a spade a spade. Funny that - it took 9 years before I joined the local section, but only because they had a couple of events that I was quite interested in. Will I renew local section membership? Not sure. Likewise, I don't play golf and I also speak as I find - 15+ years in the MN saw to that!

Personally, I've never found the MSCC or its centres stuffy or unfriendly.
One trick I do love with do at gatherings of Morgan owners it to walk up and ask in all innocence "Are these kit cars?" or "Are these the cars that have a wooden chassis?". The effect is usually ballistic until someone who has known me for years just smiles and calms the offended with the soothing words "Don't rise to it, Dave's only winding you up".
MSCC member, TM member, unaffiliated or whatever combination, I have not once met someone that has not been good fun, helpful or has useful information to impart.
Long may the Morgan Kingdom reign and no referendums!

I went to an MSCC meeting when I was looking around for an Aero, I thought I would look around how the clubs worked. I lurked as opposed to introducing myself in order to get a little colour. Yup not Aero friendly.
I guess in the good old days of print the magazine and meetings were great for grass roots. In the day of the interweb several of its benefits seem redundant ? Do you need the level of management and hierarchy, I don't see the Mods on this web site pulling rank. It seemed more like a parent child structure than a peer club.
Finding this forum made all the difference. If I had gone on that alone I would never have been interested.
Just time to burn a little more petrol before dinner.

Just registered my vote. Sorry to be late, Peter, but – as you may have noticed today – I have been catching up on reading and responding to posts.
The Club? Well, I am very satisfied with our local centre which benefits from highly energetic officials and a comprehensively friendly membership. Like several colleagues here I am not naturally a club person (I think the last “club” I joined was an ATC Squadron in 1962…) but, having joined, I don’t want to be a passive member so will attend regularly and I’m in the throes of planning an event for next Spring.
I have had no direct dealings with MSCC proper. However, I am one of those who is disappointed with the Magazine. It says something when the ads are more interesting than the editorial. As for the title “Miscellany”, where did that come from? Am I missing a double-meaning here? If not, it’s a pretty unthinking title. Surely the screamingly obvious is “The Organ”* (or “The Morgan Organ”) in MMC corporate typeface.
*Before anyone sniggers “Ooh-err, missus”, Organ – a medium of communication, especially a newspaper or periodical that serves a particular organisation.
Oh, and I think quarterly publication would be quite often enough.
