Met a chap today at the local harbour.he was driving a RONART a very up market form of JAGUAR based kit car.never seen one before. huge header pipes sticking out the side of the bonnet. turned out was a local bloke, he had built it himself, he refused to tell a passer by how much he had spent on it.

Ray, was the car a light colour? Possibly ivory or similar? If so I have seen the car up on Mountain Road a couple of times whilst in the Mog. Driver wearing leather flying helmet/goggles. Always waves. A few years ago I saw an original Jag in BRG at a petrol stop on M5 in North Devon. Driver put petrol/ lead additive mix in. I delayed leaving to watch him drive off.....what a sound!

Yes Phill. That is the same car and driver, said he lives in Kidwelly. Cracking car, and driver dressed to match. PS makes a M3W exhaust look puny.

These replicas from the GOOD companies are tremendous cars. They enable us to have the car at a fraction of the cost of real. There are severe limitations on the numbers of originals forcing up the price to silly levels. The good replicas are awesome cars, not the silly re- bodied MX5 Ferrari look-a-likes etc.. The turnkey suppliers and the limited number of top end kit suppliers are making it possible to have these cars in a reachable (?) price range. Properly engineered and not cobbled together with as much " originality" as possible. Next time I see the Jag I will try to stop us both and have a chat! The weather is better and makes Sundays great for car spotting!
