There was some talk recently that all M3Ws have a locking filler cap, but that MMC only have one key number, so your key will open all.

Milligoon came over today (2010 Roadster) so I tried my key (2014 Plus 8) in his lock.
It opened.
So we compared key numbers.
Exactly the same. banghead

Then we compared door locks. Amazing, they were different!! joy

It is nice to know that only a fellow Morgan owner can steal your fuel. grouphug

Very handy though if you lose your filler cap key at a Morgan gathering.

I can fix that wink but then you would not have the convenience of being able to find a spare key if you need it at a Morgan gathering.

I've identified the manufacturer of the locking plug and enquired if it is possible to obtain plugs with a different key number to the one seemingly beloved by Morgan.

As the key has a three number code there should be 1000 possible combinations of 0 to 9, assuming any on the numbers can be used in any position.

I'll let everyone know what the response is...

Peter, you could always convert it to run on LPG, then you would not have to worry. hide laugh2
