They weren't available from new with a manual transmission; however, Aston Works offer it as a retro fit conversion. Cost is £13,250.

Wasnt it the other way around? Vanquish S - Auto only but original Vanquish had a choice?

From memory - too lazy to Google laugh2

Bang on simon. All vanquishes used astons automated manual, similar to ferrari system. Sot highky rated by the media it seems but most who I spoke to who have driven it thought it was ok. Consensus seems to be online that it was a bit fragile, but that could just be a case of those with issues making noise whilke the relst don't.

Overall consensus seems to be that the s was a big step forward in usability amd reliability but its still not a cheap car top run, but then no handmade limited run 200k car is going to be economical......

Pipe dream for me really, and it won't fit in the garage anyway....

Sounds like you should go for a Bristol Fighter...
