i like the bit in the Autocar article that says

"Morgan will be exploring farther-flung markets with its new car, as Parkin explains. “Thanks to structural changes made to the car’s platform, the new Aeromax will pass a 50mph rear impact test without leaking fuel. That means we’ll be able to make it available to buyers in the USA.”"

Reminds me of when we hired a boat on the Norfolk Broads. The gas bottle was leaking, and emptied itself overnight. On complaining about this, the owner said how lucky it was that there had not been an explosion, as he would have been without a boat at the busiest time of the year!

Excellent, thanks for the video clip, the photos clearly don't do it justice. Amazing that Morgan can achieve what it does and GM in the US manages to get trillions of investment. Seems like a straight management change would be an element of justice for that money from the tax payer, should we start a petition at No.10 ?

For those of you who haven't heard the twin side-pipes on each side of the Aero SuperSports, somebody has kindly posted a suitable clip on YouTube from the Villa d'Este Concourso

I didn't realise they were on both sides, no wonder it sounds so mean

Is that really the authentic sound? For me, it sounds a bit strange (I don't dare to use an other expression... ) ...I mean... it's a V8!!!!

The side pipes do have a 'unique' sound... some would say an acquired taste (runs to hide before Aeroman or Boshly smack him! )

Long live the rear exit!

Joking aside, Ivo, when I tried to capture the side exits on video, it was quite difficult - the rumble tends to make the sound too fuzzy to get a clear representation. The drive-by sound is closer to reality.
