Does anyone know if there is anything formally arranged for this weekend's Bentley Driver's Club Anniversary meet at Silverstone in which I believe there are a lot of Morgan's racing?

http://www.classicandperformancecar.com/..._august_89.html

I'd be interested in joining any convoys heading for the circuit.

Thames valley Mogs are leaving from east of Reading at 8:30 (see TVMOG site). I don't know of any other. CranMog always go. All Morgans meet outside of Croft corner.

c u there (hopefully)

CranMog web site reads "Bentley Drivers Meeting Silverstone
This year we have a two day meeting. On Saturday 8th there will be the Challenge race together with the Morgan TT (Techniques Trophy) for four cylinder Morgans, Latest information says the Challenge race will be race 2 and the TT race 6 with the presentation afterwards. Techniques have invited Cranmogers to join them for the presentation and a drink. The Children in Need 4/4 Sport will also be on display where hopefully tickets will be on sale. On Sunday we will meet on the banking just before Copse Corner"

TVMOG web site reads "Bentley Drivers Club Meeting: Silverstone

Scenic drive to Bentley Drivers Club 60th Anniversary Race Event at Silverstone. Meet 08:30 at The Bird In Hand , Knowl Hill (A4 near Maidenhead) for 08:45 start. You might mean Copse corner. Croft is some way away ... ;-)

It is 2 days this year but the Morgans are nearly all on the Saturday.

Morgan Championship is Race 2 with the the 4 cylinder race being (I think) Race 6. Racing usually starts quite early - perhaps 1.30pm so Mog Championship race is around 2pm and if Keith A and Oliver Bryant are on form it should be exciting up front.

Also Race 3 features Mog racer Tony Lees in his Vauxhall Viper and there are Mogs in other races (including 3 wheeler).

Entry 8 per day or 15 for two day ticket. In the past we have got in for free.

I've printed off the info from the Bentley website but can't find anything about tickets - can we pay at the gate or is it only pre paid to get in?. pale

I've had a look a Google earth and can see the route to Copse - is there likely to be any marshaling of Morgans to the Copse parking area. drive
