I applaud the owner of the 'Gulf Blue' Aero 8 for having the conviction to alter his Morgan to suit his taste. We could spend hours debating his design; however, if it is perfect to his eyes, that is good enough for me. I believe there is a clear distinction between a production car (which should appeal to the masses and therefore necessitates debate) and a one off, bespoke, creation.

I personally - and with obvious bias - view the Aeromax as a very special design. Perhaps it is the novelty of a fixed head Morgan? Whatever the reason, the design works for me from every angle, (front on is my least favourite - as it is with all Aeros), side being my favourite. There are few cars that I could stare at for hours, the Aeromax is one of them.
The SuperSports does not have that same lure for me. Is it a nice car? Absolutely! Does it enchant me like the Aeromax? No. I view it as a progression of the Aero 8 design; while this isn't a negative, perhaps this is the reason I view it as being less
special than the Aeromax?
