Have just seen pictures of Jim Randle's design for the Aero 8. Wow!

Also note that the same chassis would have fitted the +8. Rather a shame that neither made it to production.

Details were in a book I've just bought, one of the 'Haynes Great Car Series - Morgan Plus 8'

Book also had a section on the Aeros...

Car looks very Jag like; I would have been torn between either new design or revised +8. Probably good that I've been spared the angst of choosing!

Bought a number of Mog books recently, including this one, but am reading them in a different order. frown I've left this book in the UK, so will have to wait until in am back on the 23rd - briefly (!) to pick it up. grin2

Did I read that you are thinking of maybe swapping your Plus 4 for a Plus 8 - you really can't beat the sound of that V8 and the wall of torque is brill too. thumbs flag

Damn! Rumbled!

Plus 4 was 'safe' option into Morgan ownership; knew I could afford to keep it in fuel, insured and maintained and that it was a good all-round balance as a daily driver on rural roads. Whatever else happens, have a car that will see me through to the end of my motoring days.

Should Librands develop a revised suspension however, and current business options prove fruitful, would happily consider taking on the extra expense of running an upgraded V8.

And yes, the idea of both rumble and torque are both rather alluring! It would be the V8, rather than a V6. Hence the book.

Will, as always, do my ‘due diligence’, and wait for any reviews with baited breath. And keep working away in the meantime! Anyway, it’s nice to have a dream…
