“Norway Travel Kit” #3
Here some examples from the modifications I made the last days before our trip through Norway last June.
Part three: My car had no door pockets. Because we want as much store place as possible on our trips I made some door pockets.
I didn´t want to destroy the original parts and I had to find out the maximum dimensions for a pocket under the door impacts, so I made two completely new door panels.
I decided to make a combination of door pockets in the door (under the impacts) and elastic door pocket.
The last step at the trim shop was to sew an extra elastic pocket at the gear tunnel.

Thanks for the pictures. I haven't been willing to cut my original door panels either, but I could make new panels with pockets similar to your fine example. The pockets in the tunnel cover are also clever, but I can't bring myself to stitch into my leather cover.
