Interesting Sky Motoring video clip on it too. It seems that they have reduced the quantity from 200-units to 175 and have sold half of them already.

As they say - 80% of statistics are... err... anyway...
While we are on the subject of production numbers, did we ever get a decent breakdown of Aero production for the different series 1-4?
I only ask, as I'd be interested to see which Aero Series is the rarest. Probably the Series II, but given Aeromax production in parallel with Series IV, the S IV will be a pretty rare beast to I would imagine. Probably as rare as the Aeromax / SS I'd hazard..
Series 1 - based on chassis numbers around 300. Series 2 - based on chassis numbers around 100. Series 3 - based on chassis numbers around 200. Series 4 - based on chassis numbers so far around 150. Aeromax - 101(!)
That would mean a series production of Aero based cars being around 850.
Charles spoke earlier in the year of it being 1000 cars. Is he rounding up? Is he including the SuperSports?
At this rate the Series II and the Aeromax look like the 'rare' cars. The Series III / IV will probably be no less limited than the SuperSports...

Hi Ian - be interested to know. Not interested in overall nnumbers (happy to leave Charles some mystery there, and after all I doubt there is an exact count anyway), but interested to know what is rarest Series II or Series IV if the proposed end of production is indeed the end of 09..

I believe the rarest Aero of them all is the '58 registered Orange Series II Is that the one that like a chocolate orange! Chocolate Orange didn't the ad go something like "tap it unwrap it"

all Aeromax's for sale in Germany seem to be sold
remains: - austria: 1 (multibrand dealer) 179K € (listprice) - uk: 1 (rtcc)130K £ (147K€, a bit cheapish??)
imho they should remain at listprice

130k? Cheap? Most that have changed hands in the uk have gone for less than 130, and the fact that that car has sat for a while it will probably sit longer..

A good chum has been attempting to source an Aeromax for a number of months. His attempt to find a RHD in an agreeable colour has proven to be fruitless. He has missed two that sold for more than £130. He has found that the secondary market is strong for them. Perhaps cheap is not the correct assignation but I do concur with 1560.

I wouldn't kick a green Aeromax out of bed, if I might be so bold as to mix my metaphors............... But then again I couldn't afford to pay the going rate for intimacy.

RTCC only show one photo of their Max, but in that one it does not look as if Green suits the car particularly well. Maybe that's why it is sticking?

I guess (to be completely fair) the conversations I had on this with dealers were last year and the market has strengthened considerably since then so waht constitutes the market price of an Aeromax I have no idea. 130k is still one hell of a lot of money to me though! Still I would say that the fact that this car has sat at RTCC for some time at 130 with apparrently no takers, that the market at least for now views this car as too expensive. Maybe thats just down to the fact that it's green? Which is after all the point of this thread...

When the TM Grand Masters met at Malvern in the autumn of 2009, there was a green Max in the Aero building............ In my considered opinion, this is that Max. It's Fab.

Suspect £115-120k is a more realistic price reflecting the colour combination as much as anything. Guess it's also worth pointing out that since the announcement of the AeroMax the pound as we know has dive bombed against the euro which explains the difference between the Austrian and UK cars quoted by Steven. The UK car at GBP rates is still above list. I was tempted by the green car at RTCC but the interior didn't appeal to me.

It looks like that one has side-exit exhausts, the RTCC states it has rear-exit. I would certainly like to see the RTCC one in the flesh though

The car at Thornes doesn't have side exit exhausts.
