TG gaff my a*se, an obviously deliberate blatant way to create something to get reported and free advertising. Absolutely appalling behaviour and completely disrespectful, the whole lot of them should be sacked and TG put in the bin.

The Cenotaph only appears in the background from the viewpoint of the long-lens paparazzi shots. You can see the actual camera crew in the photo, using a close-range cornering shot which would not include the Cenotaph in the background. isn't the real issue the glorification of people driving like ar5eholes on what are (normally) public roads?

I agree a bad example to all of how to drive on a public road, the added issue of where it is, and a blatant prank to gain publicity.

I do wonder what the American medias reaction would have been if a has been British actors famous for a sitcom was tearing up the streets of Washington and doing doughnuts around the Jefferson memorial. On the other side of this,someone must have clearly given permission for this to happen so Westminster Council and the Met Police also have a few questions to answer. Maybe we should all put in a few  and we could arrange for Whitehall to be closed and used a the TM test track for the day.

On the other side of this,someone must have clearly given permission for this to happen so Westminster Council and the Met Police also have a few questions to answer. +1 And George Osborne even tweeted a joke about it being noisy outside Downing Street (which may well have been the intended backdrop not the Cenotaph). I think from the end of the clip that Chris Evans was genuinely unaware that this had happened and without any prevarication said it was wrong and shouldn't be shown. As to Top Gear - I enjoyed lots, but not all, of old TG and look forward to seeing new TG before making my mind up.
