Hello everyone,
I own a 1989 4/4 Morgan with a stone-coloured roof & tonneau cover.
Light coloured roofs & covers are a pain in the neck to clean, as it takes hours of intense scrubbing to obtain results.
I am therefore looking for an "easy to apply & wipe" cleaning product.
I tried aceton once, which works very well, but that's obviously very bad for the vynil & I don't dare to carry on with that type of chemical.
Is there anyone among you who could give me advice about an efficient product that I could buy or on a performing combination of chemical products that could mix?
Many thanks beforehand for your kind assistance,
Gilles

We use traffic film remover ,give it a good scrub then pressure wash.
Then a good vinyl treatment.

Have a look at the Renovo range of products. Have only used their Plastic Window Polish which works well.

Try a cheapo non bio washing powder, mixed with hot water of course, and a scrubbing or nail brush!

Many years ago I used to use Swarfega on my dirty car seats. Just a thought.

thumbs up for Renovo products.

They are a bit pricey but always seem to work well.Make sure you get the vinyl cleaner and not the fabric hood one smile

That said,Meguiars do a decent range too.....

Many thanks for the information.
Is it a quick "apply & wipe" product, or does it require some lenghty scrubbing?

Gilles

Cleaning instructions are here.

I use it on a mohair hood and I buy a kit that comes with a light "shoe brush" type of brush. I give it a clean with light brushing about once a year and then apply the treatment when it is dry.

The kit with the brush seems to be discontinued for the fabric kit, but a soft shoebrush that you could buy anywhere would be the same. Mine will last for several years in any case.

This is the vinyl version:

I have also used their RAGGTOPP Plastic Window Cleaner and Protectant Kit- #01162 which is just fantastic and removed some marks from the inside of the rear window in the hood.

Again I intend to use it as a once a year treatment.
