Anybody stayed there recently and care to share their thoughts on the place? I driving the mog to Scotland in early Sept to meet up with a group of friends from California. Got my stops booked on the way up the Lenchford inn near Worcester and boot and shoe inn at Greystoke. On the way down the cottage is fully booked for the two nights I want and was wondering about The Malvern Hills Hotel. All input very welcome either as pm or entry here

Thanks in advance

Pete

We've stayed at both. Until recently the Cottage breakfast was its weakness. The Hills did a better breakfast. But now the Cottage has new owners the last time we stayed the breakfast was much better.
The Cottage car park is superior in every way. The Hills is popular and the car park gets cramped.
Evening meals - The Hills is Bistro/pub food but very good. The Cottage is closer to fine dining and has a better wine list.
The rooms - The Hills is better but only because some of the Cottage rooms are ready for refurb and that is in hand.
The Cottage has infinitely better views.
That's about it. Both good. Cottage more expensive.

Thanks Dave,

I rechecked with The Cottage , which I love, and they are fully booked for the two nights I want so have booked with The Malvern Hills.

Lovely day down here and about to get the mog out to drive to the marina to do a couple of hours preparing Moon Wrasse for a couple of weeks cruising in a little over a weeks time.

Pete
