And what a great day to collect a Morgan. Clear blue skies all round. Predictably the factory had the car waiting for us with the roof already down. I took my son with me. He recently bought a Caterham so he knows a little bit about open motoring and watching for clouds but I thought I would introduce him to a little style! Sadly we didn't have the time to take the long route home so I've only put 70 miles on the clock. We did stop en route to take some hasty snaps which I've included here. More after the week-end when I've had a chance to play.

First impressions: Wonderful. I sold my Plus 8 20 years ago so this is like coming home. Can't stop smiling.

A question for the Aero 8 masters: the factory said nothing about "running in" so I'm keeping the revs below 4,000 rpm until after the first service. Any views?

David

Stunning car David!

Hope that you have a lot of fun with your Aero 8.

I think you are spot on as regards running in - I have with all my cars always kept the revs below 4000 for the first 1000 miles.

Kind Regards,

Robert

But 70 miles wasn't the shortest route home either grin2 !

Looks grand David - look forward to seeing it in the flesh one day soon. There's an MT noggin coming up at Hook Norton on 28th December if you fancy a drive out...

Cheers,

Thanks for sorting the photos. I re-sized them but clearly it didn't work.

Your photos were missing the image close formatting [/image]

Therefore the site didn't recognise the text as a photo link. To post a photo you need [image] before the image and the closed box (as above) at the end of the image location.

Congratulations on your new Aero 8, it looks very nice. Enjoy it in good health.

David

Looks luverly, nice to see you opted for the side pipes as well.

How do you find putting the roof up and down?

I'm going on a crash weightlifting course over Christmas hoping that might help. xmastree

You'd have laughed. When the factory showed me how to raise the roof they couldn't move it. Hurried visit to the workshop made it slightly better but they looked at me and agreed that I really needed some arm muscle development before taking ownership - see you at the gym! notworthy
