When Tony Divey retired, the
Triking Sports Cars Company was put out for sale. I told it to Alan Garnett,
chairman at the time, and proposed a MMC takeover in order to secure a foot back into the US market (a three-wheeler would not need to comply with the strict regulations of cars). Although he admitted that the idea of taking up three-wheeler production surfaced from time to time, it was always turned down.
Now, going for a modern three-wheeler like the
Peugeuot 2CUP, perhaps based on hybrid technology, would open up a whole new entry-level market.
