Hi - any thought reccommendations for luggage in a +4? Am new to this stuff, and just finally(!) getting to order a car this year!!! I've seen a couple of references to "fitted luggage", and wonder if anyone could give their thoughts, thanks , Jon.

Welcome to the forum Jon, In a two-seater you have some space behind the seats. For longer trips you might need a luggage rack. There are also other luggage items available. I have a modern suitcase with storm cover and boat bag in the same colour as the hood. It combines waterproof luggage with stylish looks. Harald

Like a lot of people, I use Rob Hills fitted bags. www.hillsalive.co.uk/page4.shtml You may also have seen the ads for the Caracalla Bagaglio stuff which Melvn Rutter is offering. www.melvyn-rutter.co.uk If you want a large suitcase ( it's actually a Samsonite American Tourister fitted with Steve's bespoke cover)) and/or boat bag, try Steve Simmonds www.simmondsshop.com I use only a very small suitcase ( although I do have a luggage rack) because I have this bee in my bonnet about keeping weight inside the rear axle. It might just be an impression but the only time I strapped a large suitcase to my car via the rack, I really didn't like the way it steered Regards, G

Another maker of bespoke luggage is Bespoke Luggage (That's My Mog in the pics - and I also worked up all the ideas)

For information our trunk was made by La Malle Bernard, a traditional trunk manufacturer in Paris (like Goyard or Vuiton). La Malle Bernard Not cheap (around 2500€ if my memory is correct), but traditional, light & excellent quality. An other advantage of a set of bespoke luggages is you can fit their colors with the seats of your car. H3
