Clearly, what you do with a motor isn't my business ( and I have a healthily sceptical view of Aeros) but,2008 car with 4K miles- have you given it a chance?

On the other hand, if it's just a sales pitch, I hope you get the asking price

is it because a trad would stand out in your collection,
where as the Aero is the not-as-good-though-slightly-more-exclusive/extravagant-expression-of-what-porsche-does-best????

i have to say 1560 has got this wrong, i also have several 'super' cars and my Aero is so different in so many ways, if you don't get that you shouldn't have one in the first place. for the record mine is re-mapped and in performance and handling terms blows the socks of my 911 GT3 as its frankly boring in comparison (and yes a bit common), which i'm now selling if your interested. i have some friends who might be interested in your Aero, i'll go and ask them for you. good luck

I think I know what Steven (1560) is trying to say. A trad is a further step away from virtually any other car on the road, whereas an Aero is aimed more directly at the Porsche brigade (confirmed by Russell Patterson who says he takes in more Porsches as p/ex against Aeros than all other cars).

What an Aero will always be is a more raw and traditional (if I dare use that expression) sports car than the Porsche/Ferrari/Aston brigade, though just as capable as most. Certainly as quick as most Porsches including the Turbo up to say 120mph and possibly quicker on a track (in the right hands of course) due to weight, braking and handling capabilities. I am still however pleasantly surprised at your comments regarding the GT3.

Back to Steven I think he was trying to say the difference would be more pronounced in a trad. Don't forget, Stevens' Aero is one of the more 'boring' wink coupe's, not the fresh air rawness of an original beast laugh

By the way, it's really interesting to know what others also have in their stables.

Not sure about anyone else but in addition to being of great interest to us all (Im sure there must be some gems hidden away in the combined garages of TM) it gives me a better handle on peoples opinions.

Thus If I post that my Aero is faster than a Gallardo I expect you may take it at face value at best, and with a pinch of salt at worst, but if I also owned a Gallardo then I would guess (and expect) that you would give my comment far more credence?

As such how about a few photos of all cars? Come on Brian M, you can start us off.

i also have a ferrari 575 and GT3, oh and my wife's cayenne, both the 575 and the GT3 really cant compete. i also used to have a 360 and its also off the pace although my friend has a 430 and he does have the edge, damit... up in Aberdeen especially with all the oil money around Porches are very common, even turbo's. there are lots of supercars some come out to play all the time, porsche, bentley, ferrari, lambo's, some rarely, xj220, we even have a zonda and a bugatti, not that i've seen it. the thing that really puts a smile on my face, apart from the fact that my car is uber rare here its the fact that i get not only more attention (don't you just hate that....lol) that the others but i frequently out perform them as well, for a fraction of the price they paid. just wonderful. both my other cars are going, think i've sold the GT3, the 575 is a hard sell these days. to be replaced by, wait for it....a land rover defender airport car, and a carver that i saw in Richard Thornes..
