I was in the garage last night & I got thinking…..will they fit my S3 Aero? I’ve seen plenty on S4’s, but not S3’s.

I like my current wheels, but I much prefer the Aeromax design.

They fit woohoo, but thats BAD news ....more than £500.00 a corner? (I know, I'll ask the factory).

Cheers

I take it you didn't ask after SS wheels, £750 a piece. This opens up a whole world of after market wheels.

When I ordered the car I was told £3k for one set and £2k for the other. I think, but I maybe wrong that the SS was £3k and the max £2k.

I'm over at the factory next week and want to find out a bit more about the aero wheel sizes.

I was charged £3k for Aeromax wheels on my S4 last December. I was told in August when I was looking at ordering an Aero 8 S4 that the factory charge a premium on Aeromax wheels not destined for an Aeromax as a deterent and therefore preserve stock for Aeromax builds/replacements. Don't know if this is fact but it would make sense.

Of course, you can always get Rays wheels direct in the same design but in 18 inch or 20 inch. I guess the 19 inch is an exclusive to Morgan as I haven't seen it in the Rays wheels catalogue

question:
Can we put 18" on the Aeromax???
would like to do that for more comfort and when I go in less 19"-friendly neighbourhoods

Given you can put 19" AEromax wheels on the S4 Aero, I'm sure the same size 18" that are standard fit on the S4 will be fine on the 'max. Same rolling diameter etc so don't see an issue. Sure the factory is the official line on this though, maybe give them a call?

Update:

The Aero’s back at the Factory Monday to have a set of Aeromax wheels fitted, plus a bit of fettling prior to the trip to the Classic.

They did offer (at a similar price), Super Sport wheels, but for me it has to be the Max’s!

I’ll post some before & after pic’s shortly. thumbs

I must admit I do love the pictures I have seen of the SS wheels on the Aero. A very good choice for the cars.

http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_size_calculators.html

This is a great site for wheel/tyre size calculation for your car however it does not allow for the all important things like clearance on full lock or wheel arch clearance on full compression.

I cannot imagine 20" SS alloys with 255/20x20 rubber looking like a liquorice strips around a bobbin......all I need now is spinners and they will be coming with the rear fastening jacket again.
