Are they bespoke for the your luggage rack, or do they suit any variant. I have to get straps for this season and was considering the Simmonds option versus the MMC. Which is best, hopefully more than 1 way to find out

Very nice straps and the hard wearing Peli case is a nice touch; it suits the vibe of permanence that the Morgan gives off.

the straps are bespoke,English Harness leather, note the end fittings rather than the usual long wrap around style, the colour is'Newmarket' - the saddler who made them is an old friend.

May I ask how the end fittings work?

the fixed end of the buckle strap is doubled over and sewn to form a loop, this is pushed through the welded slot on the rack & a 10mm dia st/steel bobbin is then inserted in the loop to stop it coming back out, the bobbin is a tight push fit.The tongue end [pic 3] is passed through the welded slot and threaded back on itself through a sewn on loop, in harness parlance a 'military fixing'. the harness buckles are '2-ton' st/steel, the wine is 2007 pouilly fume

I have a set of MMC Black H straps which have received quite a few soakings during last summer's outings.

The leather has become permanently swollen in places and the black is sort of dark grey now. The white stitching does not look so hot either.

Any tips on the best way to bring them back to life?

I don't need luggage straps in the Aero, but I do like the wine choice!
