Years ago, my parents moved from the UK to Switzerland, and the authorities required the speedometer to be changed to calibration in kph. When the instruments were removed, the original crinkle finish must have been damaged, and the panel was very badly repainted. I would like to strip the old paint and apply on of the new 3M DI-NOC veneers, but I don't know all that's involved in removing the panel. Has anyone done this? It appears to not be too difficult. Anything to watch out for?

I'll probably use one of the dark wood grains or the black leather finish.
