Yes. For example, Morgan 'Corsa Red' is the Ferrari Corso Rossa

G

You can get the paint code from the factory record (you only need your chassis No.)

If you car is reletively new then it's likey to be an ICI paint... but again this can be confirmed by the factory.

Hi,

Try Oval Industries, based in Sheffield, check their website. They supplied me with a perfect match for my 27 year old paint colour in a small 30ml bottle. Just need to give them the code, year and car details, they mix it and post it...perfect, for me anyway.

good luck!

any idea what Morgan's "Ivory White" is based on?
I too could use an old-fashioned touch-up pen for the odd inherited stone chip, and in readiness for those I will no doubt add myself

Yes, I'm pretty sure they do. I also seem to reacall Dave W putting a thread ( or at least a contribution to one) up about this.
Another approach might be ( geography permitting) to 'phone Kevin Vernon at Tudor Motors and ask if he can let you have a small bottle of touch up) you might have to take a run over to M. Drayton to collect- hence my comment about geography

Cheers
G

PS if the car is a recent model, then the Factory now use Glasurit

Hi

My car is royal ivory (maybe the same as yours) in which case the paint is manufactured by ICI - well at least on my 1997 4/4 it is. I had to go to a specialist paint supplier that supplies the motor trade.

The down side is that I had to get a half litre and buy a fine brush 'cos they do not do those natty touch-up paint bottles.

Hope this helps.

Martyn

I'm back.....(from North Devon). drive
Yes, I went to Halfords in Sheffield - Heeley Bottom. Spoke to a mature bloke there, who looked it up. There were three Ferrari Corsa Rosso's listed, so you may need to trial & error it.

I also checked Ferrari info sites and found that my red (2005) was the later red listed. I did the front spoiler with it and it's a pretty good match. You do need to find a paint mixer who is prepared to take the time though.
