I found out to my grief when I reversed into an abutment in a dark car park one evening out 'courting'. Split the (cars) rear end down the middle? stars Living on the edge. innocent

From your post you went to a proper engineering shop and the chap knows his nuts from his bolts [or vice versa wink ]. Must have been interesting as his quality of work looks excellent.

Is the workshop still in the large garage next to Tony's bungalow? or has Alan moved to a new place?

laugh2 laugh2 laugh2 That did make us laugh Frank! Life on the edge in a Berkeley, who'd have thought...

I never realised that you have had such varied motoring experiences or I was going to say love life, but I had better not go there! shocked2

Anyway glad to hear you enjoyed reading about our visit, we certainly enjoyed ourselves. I've been to look at a completely different car today and test drove it; the absolute antithesis of a Triking (it's a large V8), but forgot to take the camera so I'm afraid the write-up will have to wait for another day. woohoo

Brian

Funnily enough, the thing that really sticks in my mind is that is the only road where I have seen a layby with a Mobile Barber's parked in it!!

Wasn't it somewhere up that way a few years ago where they wanted a guy to take his 'cafe' out of a lay-by. Being negative, they 'walled' him in with a deep bank of earth so that no one could get at him. Is he still there I wonder? coffee
