See my post from last year:
http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=3005&Number=30224#Post30224In particular:
Choice of oil is tricky. Morgan recommend 5/40 fully synthetic, but Ford recommend 5/30 FS. Try as I might I couldn't locate a 5/40. They seem to be 0/40 (eg Mobil 1)so I've plumped for Mobil 1 5/30 this time. Of course, being a 4litre can I ended up buying two..........
Next time I might try their top spec oil for Diesels which does come in the right 5/40 grade.
Note that this post relates to the Series One Roadster with the ST220/Jaguar V6. Following that post, I discussed (with a friend who is a specialist in the lubricants field) the merits of using Diesel spec oil of 'the right grade'. He takes the view that 0/40 Mobil 1 is probably best as it's more important to have 'zero' grade oil at startup.
What I have noticed is that the 0/30 is showing higher cold presure, but lower hot pressure than what was in there before, but I don't know what that was..........
In the end good quality oil is good quality, so I'm happy with my choice, but will change to 0/40 next time (June 10).
