Near Blandford Forum. Very comfortable. Great food. Reasonable selection of ales, ciders and wines. Just had a great 4 nights away

Just seen this Peter, if the ford is flooded coming from the pub turn right and follow to the farm, turn left and it runs to the other side of the ford. When I was staying there with Graham and Rob from this forum it took all of 5 min max....and is a very pretty run through another part of the village actually. I shall certainly go back and believe Graham has already done so.

When arriving from the A354 the diversion is a mile....one must carry on down the High Street, then turn right towards the farm and over a bridge. Then run back towards the Pub.
I used to live in the area in the 1980s and it seemed further...don't know why my memory is so scrambled!

I've walked it and I think it's less than a mile. Scrambled memory seems to apply to all as the years go by

Just had a super two night stop over at a luxury B&B in Malvern while work was being done on the Mog at the factory. I can therefore reccomend - https://www.trehernehouse.co.uk/ Very friendly and welcoming hosts , easy and safe parking , superb chef doing breakfasts, 5 min walk from pleasant pub which does evening meals. 5 min drive from the factory from the less busy side of Malvern. Definetely worth a look if you need somewhere in this area. Edit - should have created a unique thread for this - doing now
