Hi all, Just wondering if anybody would be interested in getting together at Oulton Park for the Aero Racing Morgan Challenge (used to be known as Power Torque Morgan Challenge), part of the day of events organised by the MGCC. A couple of years ago I managed to get reserved Morgan parking on the lawn in front of the conference centre and if I get enough interest, I'll have a go again...please let me know, either on here or to my email address. This was a great day out with bumper to bumper racing and you get the opportunity to get up close to the cars and drivers in the paddock area. Also, if any of you 'challengers' have any spare complimentary tickets, I would be very grateful for them. I will give them out to those interested on a first come basis. Again please let me know. I have also put this on Mogtalk, with little response thus far, more interest in chocolate me thinks!

I haven't been to Oulton Park since the days of the F1 Gold Cup, when McLarens were still orange. In fact I got a speeding ticket in Middlewich from a cartoonesque bobby with a belly and red cheeks, and a wire down the side of the road. I'd JUST left a filling station and was accelerating hard in second gear...... Hmmm. It was a 30 limit, and he nailed me at 42. Another hundred yards and I'd have been doing over 60.
Anyway, back to the plot - this is a Saturday event, which is my best day, but I can't commit until much nearer the time. It's a bit of a hike from here, but good Mogging roads.
Is the Conference centre in the circuit grounds?? I've Google mapped it and it's not obvious.

'Fraid I'll have to give it a miss Nick. I'm taking the '76 on a charity drive around the Costwolds on the Saturday (and will be marshalling Prescott Hill climb on the Sunday for the main part of the event). Still looking for a navigator for the Saturday. I've two offers, but as they're both some distance away... Cheers,

I'll probably pop by as live a few miles down the road but I am pretty fickle with a young family dragging me to other things. I will look out for you and say hello if I pop by. I'll be in the black 4/4 Sport.
GUY Oulton Park or Prescott? Cheers,

Thanks Jim, but I'm at Prescott on the Sunday and on a Prescott Based Rotary drive on the Saturday... Won't be at Oulton Park. I'm sure there's others would appreciate a ticket though Are you at Snetterton on Saturday (tomorrow)? Cheers, Graham

I shall be in mid Wales tomorrow. Bourton on the Water on Sunday. Just wondering. Tim Ayres & Darren are heading there today I believe. Might try to get to Silverstone on 18th... Parking infield? 40-50bhp down? Big gap! Guess that means John Stephens cornering technique then ? Hope tomorrow goes well.
