Excellent hotel in an attractive country house, with good secure parking, obliging staff and good food for those of a "foodie" bent. The hotel is children friendly and accepts other small animals like dogs. The extensive ground have amusements for kids - aerial runway, trampolines etc though these were in no way irritating for the old and crusty like us. Nice views over the town and sea but a reasonably stiff walk up from the town quay to the hotel. Large room well fitted out with modern facilities.

Not cheap - well not by Yorkshire standards. Dinner bed and breakfast rate was £129, a pint of cider was about £4 and similar for a G&T.

I dont usually say that a hotel was good value but this one was.
