Sorry to butt in...but are you talking about Oulton Park or Prescott as my original thread seems to have been taken off course.
I'm trying to arrange a meet at Oulton on the 8th, not Prescott. Tis I who would be grateful for any spare tickets and would like to gauge interest.
This seems hard enough to do without my thread being taken off track.
Guy, it will be good to see you there, I'll keep an eye out for you. I don't know if I'll bother with the 'special parking' as there seems to be little interest...I'll let you know.
Jim, if I understand correctly, you're racing at Oulton...I'll look out for you. Would really appreciate the tickets if you have any.
Crikey this is hard!! They don't seem to have a problem arranging noggins on Mogtalk...must be generally more interest in warm beer than car racing.
cheers!!

Sorry Nick, I couldn't work out whether a response to my original post (that I couldn't get to Oulton because I was at a different event) was that another poster would be at Oulton or Prescott becuase he lived quite close (but didn't say close to where)... I'll Crikey this is hard!! They don't seem to have a problem arranging noggins on Mogtalk...must be generally more interest in warm beer than car racing. You've noticed? Motorsport does seem to have low interest value, after all, Morgans are only supposed to be sports cars...

Graham,
Please don't worry about it. You seem to be right, you're closer to the sport than I. The clue IS in the club name.
cheers

I know interest in this event is very limited, but just to say I have some tickets kindly given to me by those friendly people in Mogsport, the very people that put their lives and limbs at risk most weekends in the quest for glory!! (and the tea/beer and banter post race!!)
If you fancy coming along, give me a ring on the moby (07721 524094) and I'll come to the gate with the tickets...as long as they last! (I'll be there from about 10.30)
First come-first served I'm afraid.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow.

Treated like a child by a 'bossy boots', so did not hang around for long. I am sure there are some! great people posting there and here as well. Happy to not be involved so no 'Red Cap' for ME.

Hi G,
Sorry we didn't hook up, we were parked in front of the Fogarty Moss centre, not on the lawn though...would have been embarrassing with just one little Mog there. Ended up bringing home a dozen tickets!!
You'll know it was a great day with some very exciting racing...Keith Ahlers was awesome in the Morgan Challenge and Chris, Phil and Tony had a great Thoroughbred's race. Next time I recommend crossing over the track at Lodge and standing at Deers Leap, right next to the grid...when the light goes out the 8's are at full chat and ground literally shakes.
Frank, I know what you mean about Mogtalk...quite cliquey, I delete most of the content each week. But some are helpful when looking for info and there's lots of nice people just hovering around the periphery (I'm one) who occasionally chip in with something interesting or useful.
Anyway, nice 'chatting' to you both.

Don't be too harsh on 'em chaps. Not to make this thread into a whipping post. I enjoyed reading almost every comment. It was the 'directed at me' comments (posted for everyone to see)that p'd me off. The 'last straw' you may say is a petty one but when it was suggested by the same 'founder person' that the owner of a Roadster in a video I posted "get a 'Real Car'" I wrote my last post suggesting he 'Grow Up' and logged off so it probably was never posted. My Last Word on the topic!!!!
