The Old Rectory is a B&B and as the name suggest it is next to the church in Cradley which is about 15 minutes from the Morgan Motor Company. Off street parking is available.

This is not you average B&B, I would classify it as a 5 star B&B. It costs about the same as a hotel, 130 a night for a couple, but the atmosphere is much nicer, the beds large and comfortable, and the rooms are large and equipped with lots of nice little touches. There was even nail polish remover, files and emery boards for the ladies. Claire and John really do make you feel welcome.

Then there is the food: Breakfast is just wonderful and includes the option of just about anything one could want (even black pudding and haggis). Optionally you can order dinner (in advance) at under 40 a head plus wine. And what a dinner it is. Claire is not only a very skilled artist (her work is brilliant) but also an artist in the kitchen. You can find their current menu on their web site: just reading it will make your mouth water. I should mention that John is no slouch in the kitchen either and it is no wonder they have won awards for their breakfasts.

As a little bonus we enjoyed listening to the bell ringing practice on Thursday evening. The bells have a really pleasant tones. If you like walking there are several possibilities for taking a stroll.

A very quite and peaceful place. No more hotels in Malvern for us. We will most definitely stay at the Old Rectory next time we come to Malvern.

An amazingly good place to stay and very close to the factory. Wonderful hosts and an excellent atmosphere.

Took your advice Gambalunga , and very pleased we did for our last night in the UK . The best meal we had on the trip and the lovely Claire is a charming hostess ably backed up by John. If up that way again will not hesitate to return .
